Spawn and Position a Stationary Data Trader

Choosing the Right Variant

The Data Trader Mod provides two spawn eggs: one for the standard trader with AI, and one for the no-AI variant. For a stationary trader (like a shop NPC), use the no-AI variant spawn egg.

Placing Your Trader

Equip the no-AI Data Trader spawn egg and right-click on a block where you want the trader to stand. The trader will spawn and remain in that exact location, never wandering or moving.

Customizing Appearance and Trades

Once spawned, the trader's appearance and available trades are determined by the datapack configuration. You can use name tags to give your trader a custom display name, making it easier to identify in your world or map.

Protecting Your Trader

Consider placing your stationary trader in a protected area or behind barriers to prevent accidental damage. Since it has no AI, it won't flee from danger, making it vulnerable to hostile mobs or player interference.
