How to Fly in Survival with the DarkFlight Mod

Flying with a Diamond Shovel

The DarkFlight Mod adds a simple jetpack-style mechanic to Survival Mode. To use it, place a diamond shovel in your off-hand. With the shovel equipped there, run the /trigger flight command from the chat or command line. This activates a temporary levitation ability that lifts you into the air, letting you fly in Survival without building machines or using rockets.

When the levitation ends, the mod applies a Slow Falling effect so you drift gently back to the ground instead of dropping. That makes landings smooth and safe, so you do not need to worry about fall damage on the way down.

The whole process is intentionally minimal: no crafting recipes, no brewing, and no fuel. Just hold the diamond shovel in your off-hand, trigger the command, and take off. It is an affordable, creative way to gain flight in Survival Mode.
