How to Use the Dark Tides Mod

The Dark Tides Mod improves underwater gameplay by granting a set of aquatic abilities. To activate them, place a diamond shovel in your off-hand while you are submerged, then use the /trigger breathe command. This grants Water Breathing, Night Vision, and Fast Swimming for five minutes.

When the timer runs out, simply repeat the process: keep the diamond shovel in your off-hand, stay submerged, and run /trigger breathe again. There is no limit to how many times you can reactivate the effects, so you can chain them together for long underwater expeditions.

This makes the mod especially useful for water-based Origins such as Merlings, since the effects help them operate on land as well. The off-hand shovel is the key requirement, so remember to keep one on you whenever you plan to spend time in aquatic biomes.
