How to Change the Dark Loading Screen Color In-Game

Using Mod Menu and Cloth Config

If you have Mod Menu and Cloth Config API installed alongside Dark Loading Screen, you can tweak the color without ever touching a config file. Open Mod Menu from the main menu, find Dark Loading Screen in the mod list, and click the config button. Cloth Config will open a small settings screen where you can adjust the background color of the loading screen.

Most builds expose a color picker (RGB sliders or a hex field) plus a separate option for the text/logo color. Drag the sliders or paste a hex code, then close the screen. The change applies the next time a loading screen appears, so you do not need to restart the game when editing through the GUI.

Picking a Usable Color

A pure black background can make the Mojang logo and progress bar hard to see. If your loading text disappears, raise the brightness of the background slightly or change the text color to a light value. Test by loading a world or switching dimensions so the screen actually shows.

If the config button does not appear in Mod Menu, Cloth Config is missing or the wrong version — install a matching build and relaunch.
