Apply Your First Armor Trim to Dark Blades Gear

What You Need

Gather a Dark Blades armor piece (helmet, chestplate, leggings, or boots), a smithing template, and a material block that matches your desired trim color. Vanilla trim materials like copper, iron, gold, lapis, emerald, diamond, netherite, redstone, amethyst, and quartz all work.

Steps to Trim Your Armor

1. Open a Smithing Table

2. Place your Dark Blades armor piece in the left slot

3. Place a Smithing Template in the top-middle slot (the template determines the trim pattern)

4. Place your chosen trim material in the right slot

5. Collect your newly trimmed armor from the output slot

Your Dark Blades armor now displays the trim color and pattern while keeping all its original stats and enchantments. You can apply different trims to each piece to create a coordinated set, or mix and match patterns for a unique look.
