Dark Bindings Mod Guide

Overview

Dark Bindings is a small, single-purpose mod that focuses on one thing: adding over 100 custom crafting recipes to Minecraft. Its goal is to make normally unobtainable or uncraftable items craftable, improving the vanilla experience without adding new blocks, mobs, or mechanics.

What You Can Craft

Recipes cover a wide range of items that vanilla Minecraft does not let you craft. Examples include chainmail armor, saddles, End Portal frames, and dragon eggs. The mod also adds recipes for blocks, tools, ores, mob drops, and decorative items such as crying obsidian. Because the list is large, browsing it in-game is the easiest way to see everything available.

Browsing Recipes

Since the mod adds so many recipes, using a recipe viewer mod such as REI or JEI is recommended. These let you search for an item and see its exact recipe without guessing.

Customization

Specific recipes can be disabled through datapacks. This gives server owners and players control over which recipes are active, so they can balance or restrict the mod to suit their world.
