Use Custom Translations and Change Your Mod Language
Understanding CyanLib's Translation System
CyanLib provides a custom translation framework that Aeldit mods use to display text in different languages. This system goes beyond Minecraft's default language files, allowing for more flexible localization.
Selecting a Language
Language selection typically follows Minecraft's standard language settings. Set your preferred language in Minecraft's Language & Accessibility options, and mods using CyanLib will respect that choice.
Adding or Modifying Translations
If you want to contribute translations or modify existing ones, translation files are stored in your mod's configuration or resource folders. The exact location depends on the specific mod using CyanLib.
For custom translations:
- Locate the translation files in your config directory
- Edit them using a text editor
- Follow the existing format (usually key-value pairs)
- Restart your game to see changes
Check the specific mod's documentation for details on which translations can be safely modified without breaking functionality.
