Customize Colors in Your Inventory Screen

Locating the Texture Files

The resource pack stores its color definitions in texture files within the assets/minecraft/textures/gui folder. To customize inventory colors, navigate to this directory in your resource pack folder.

Editing Inventory Colors

1. Open the inventory texture file (typically named container/generic_54.png or similar for standard containers)

2. Use an image editor like Photoshop, GIMP, or Aseprite to adjust the pastel color values

3. Focus on the background panels and border areas—these are where the soft pink and cream tones are applied

4. Keep contrast high enough that inventory slots remain clearly visible

5. Save your edited texture file in PNG format to preserve transparency

6. Reload your resource pack in-game by pressing F3 + T (or navigating to Resource Packs settings)

Testing Your Changes

Open various containers—chests, furnaces, crafting tables—to see how your color adjustments look across different interfaces. The cute aesthetic works best when pastel tones remain soft and readable.
