Finding and Approaching Cats

Cute cats spawn naturally throughout your world in various biomes. They are passive mobs and won't run away, making them easy to locate. Look for them near villages, forests, and open grassy areas. Cats come in many different colors and patterns, so keep exploring to find your favorites.

Taming with Food

To tame a cat, you'll need to feed it. Hold raw fish in your hand and approach the cat slowly. Right-click on the cat to feed it. You may need to feed it multiple times before it becomes fully tamed—watch for hearts to appear around the cat, indicating successful taming.

Once tamed, the cat will follow you and sit when you right-click on it again. A tamed cat will stay by your side during your adventures and can be brought back to your base to live as a permanent pet. Different cat colors and patterns don't affect taming difficulty, so choose whichever kitty catches your eye!
