Set Different Day-Night Cycles for Different Dimensions

Customize Time Per Dimension

Each dimension (Overworld, Nether, End) can have its own independent day-night cycle duration.

Steps

1. Travel to the dimension you want to modify

2. Open chat (T key by default)

3. Type /timecycle set [day_duration] [night_duration]

4. Press Enter

5. Repeat for other dimensions as needed

Workflow Example

• Adjust the Overworld to your preferred cycle
• Travel to the Nether and set a different duration there
• Travel to the End and customize its cycle separately
• Each dimension remembers its own settings

Verification

When you switch dimensions, use /timecycle status to confirm which cycle is active. This is especially useful on servers where multiple dimensions might have different settings. Settings persist even after logging out, so your customizations remain in place when you return.
