Reset Day-Night Cycle to Default

Restore Original Minecraft Timing

If you've modified your day-night cycle and want to return to Minecraft's default 20-minute cycle, use the reset command.

Steps

1. Open chat (T key by default)

2. Type /timecycle reset

3. Press Enter

The day and night durations in your current dimension will immediately return to their default values.

Important Notes

• This command only affects the dimension you're currently in
• If you're on a multiplayer server, you may need appropriate permissions to use this command
• The reset is instant—no transition period occurs
• After resetting, verify the change with /timecycle status if needed
