Explore Structure Chests

The easiest way to start collecting is by exploring naturally-generated structures in your world. Custom music discs are placed inside chests found in dungeons, temples, mansions, shipwrecks, and other loot locations. Simply travel to these structures and open every chest you find—you'll gradually build your collection.

Trade with Villagers

Certain villagers will trade music discs for emeralds. Visit different villager types in your world and check their trade offers. Some may have records available immediately, while others unlock trades as they level up. This is a reliable way to get specific tracks without relying on chest loot.

Defeat Specific Mobs

Some custom discs drop from particular monsters when defeated. Explore at night or visit dark caves to hunt these mobs. Each track has its own mob source, so check the in-game wiki menu to see which enemies drop the songs you're hunting.

Craft Records Yourself

Certain discs can be crafted using recipes. Gather the required materials and use a crafting table to make these tracks. This method works well once you've explored enough to gather the necessary components.
