Change Your Damage Flash Color

Access the Shader Settings

Open your shader pack options menu. This is typically found in Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options, though the exact path depends on your shader loader.

Locate the Damage Overlay Color Control

Look for a setting labeled "Damage Overlay Color," "Hit Flash Color," or similar. This is the primary control for customizing how mobs appear when damaged.

Select Your Custom Color

Click on the color picker or input field. You can either:

  • Use a color wheel or RGB sliders to choose any shade you prefer
  • Enter a hex color code if your shader supports direct input
  • Select from preset colors if available

Test Your Changes

Apply the settings and enter a world with mobs nearby. Hit any creature to see your new damage flash in action. The color will now appear instead of the default red whenever you deal damage.

Fine-Tune if Needed

If the color is too bright or hard to see during combat, adjust the opacity or brightness slider if available. Return to settings and tweak until you find a color that's both visually appealing and practical for spotting hits during fights.
