Spoof Your Client Brand on Multiplayer Servers

Understand Brand Spoofing

This mod allows you to send a different minecraft:brand string to servers than your actual client uses. This is useful for testing, compatibility checks, or appearing as a different client type without actually changing your installation.

Configure the Brand String

Open Mod Menu and find the Custom Client Brand Mod settings. Enter the brand name you want servers to see—for example, you could use "vanilla" to appear as unmodded, or any other identifier.

Connect to Servers

Join a multiplayer server. The server will receive your custom brand string in its login packet. This affects only what the server *sees*—your actual client remains unchanged.

Important Notes

Use this responsibly. Some servers explicitly forbid brand spoofing in their terms of service. Spoofing to bypass anti-cheat detection or server restrictions violates most server policies and may result in bans. This mod is best used for legitimate testing, development, or on servers where you have permission.
