Collecting Saplings from Custom Trees

Harvest Trees Efficiently

When you cut down a custom tree, leaves will drop saplings naturally as they decay or when broken. To maximize sapling collection:

1. Break all the leaves on the tree (use an axe or sword for speed)

2. Collect the saplings that drop

3. Some leaves may not drop saplings—this is normal

Use Silk Touch for Leaf Blocks

If you want to preserve the tree's exact structure temporarily, use a Silk Touch tool to collect leaf blocks. You can replant them later, though they won't regrow into full trees without saplings.

Store Saplings for Later Use

Saplings can be stored in your inventory indefinitely. Collect extra saplings from multiple trees of the same type to have a supply ready for replanting in the same biome later.
