Set Up Filtered Item or Fluid Transfer

Inventory Filtering Basics

Use the mod's filtering system to control exactly what items or fluids move through your pipes and in what quantities.

Configuring a Filter

1. Right-click on an item or fluid pipe to open its configuration menu

2. Access the filter list and add specific items or fluids you want to transfer

3. Set pull and push quantities per operation—the pipe will respect these limits

4. Leave the filter empty to allow all items/fluids through (default behavior)

Practical Applications

  • Selective routing: Filter one pipe to accept only ore, another for ingots, keeping outputs organized
  • Rate limiting: Set low quantities to prevent machine overflow or to meter resources to multiple consumers
  • Fluid sorting: Create dedicated lines for different fluid types (water, lava, oil) even if they share block space
  • Unloaded chunk safety: Filters continue to work during chunk unloading, so your transfers remain predictable even when you're far away
