How to Tune Cursor Movement Scaling for Your Display

If the cursor centers but overshoots or undershoots the middle of the screen, your system's sensitivity or UI scale is throwing off the movement calculation. The mod exposes a scaling value to correct this.

Understand What the Scaling Value Does

The mod moves the cursor by a computed amount rather than teleporting it. That amount assumes a certain relationship between mouse sensitivity, GUI scale, and resolution. When those differ from the assumption, the cursor lands short of or past center. The scaling value multiplies the movement to compensate.

Set the JVM Argument

Add the argument -DcursorMoveScalingValue=<value> to your Minecraft launch options, replacing <value> with a number. Start with the default and adjust gradually — small increments in either direction. If the cursor stops before center, increase the value; if it flies past center, decrease it. Relaunch the game after each change, since JVM arguments are read at startup.

Test Methodically

Open and close a GUI repeatedly at your normal GUI scale and resolution. Change one variable at a time — do not alter GUI scale and the scaling value together, or you will not know which fixed it. Once centering is accurate at your usual settings, leave the value alone. If you later change GUI scale or monitor resolution, you may need to retune.
