When you spawn in a new world, you'll start directly at nighttime as Herobrine. The normal day-night cycle is reversed, so use this darkness to your advantage. Explore the twisted biomes around you—Evil Forest and Cursed Forest contain eerie terrain and resources.

Early Survival Tips

Steve mobs will flee from you, so you won't face them as threats. However, hostile hunters and human characters spawn across the land and pose real danger. Tame friendly spiders using web warts to gain allies in combat. Seek out custom structures like Steve's House for loot and supplies.

Watch the sky for custom moon phases including the Blood Moon and Herobrine Moon. Mine Evil Diamond ore to craft dark diamond tools and weapons. Collect Necronomicon books scattered throughout the world to learn dark secrets and gain knowledge for survival.
