Protect Your Best Items from Curse Enchantments

Store Items Away from Your Inventory

The curse enchantments only affect items currently in your inventory during the three random application windows between 12am and 3am. To protect your most valuable tools and weapons, move them out of your inventory before nighttime arrives.

Steps:

1. As evening approaches in-game, identify which items you want to keep safe—your best sword, pickaxe, or enchanted gear

2. Place these items into a chest, barrel, or other storage container near your base

3. Leave only basic or replaceable items in your inventory when you go to sleep

4. After waking, retrieve your protected items from storage

Use Multiple Storage Locations

If you're exploring far from home, dig a quick hole and place a chest inside. Store your enchanted items there temporarily while you sleep. This prevents curse enchantments from ruining gear you've worked hard to obtain.

Alternatively, keep a dedicated "sleep inventory" of common tools that you don't mind losing to curses, and swap to it before bed each night.
