Fixing See-Through Leaves and Visual Glitches
Why it happens
Cull Less Leaves skips leaf blocks that sit behind other leaf blocks. When the mod decides a layer is hidden, that layer is not drawn at all. From most angles this is invisible, but at grazing angles, through gaps, or when standing inside a tree, you can notice missing geometry. This is expected behavior, not a bug, and it scales with how aggressive your layer setting is.
Steps to reduce it
1. Open the mod's config and increase the number of rendered leaf layers by one step.
2. If the mod offers a mode selector, switch from the most performance-oriented mode to the more realistic one.
3. Check whether a resource pack changes leaf textures to have transparent or cutout edges. Packs with very transparent leaf textures make culling far more noticeable, because there is less solid texture to hide the skipped blocks.
4. Test in a jungle or mangrove swamp, where leaf density is highest and the effect is most visible.
When to accept it
If you are on a low-end machine, some see-through behavior is the tradeoff for the FPS gain. Pick the highest layer count you can run without stutter and live with the rest. The mod is client-side, so other players on a server will not see your culling.
