Identify Performance Bottlenecks

Mangrove swamps and similar dense biomes are heavy on rendering. Before adjusting settings, check your current FPS in these areas using F3 (Debug Screen) to see your baseline frame rate.

Lower Leaf Culling Aggressively

In your mod configuration, reduce the leaf layer count to its minimum or near-minimum setting. Cull Fewer Leaves will skip rendering most hidden leaves deep inside tree canopies, dramatically reducing the workload.

Combine with Other Optimization Strategies

For maximum effect:

• Reduce your render distance if it's very high
• Lower particle effects in video settings
• Disable or reduce other visual mods that add detail

Verify Improvements
