Optimize Server Performance with Crystal Mine Models

Understanding Model Optimization

The Crystal Mine Model pack is specifically designed with performance in mind. Each mob model uses fewer bones and cubes compared to standard custom creatures, reducing the computational load on your server.

Monitoring Performance Impact

After installing the pack and executing /meg reload, monitor your server's TPS (ticks per second) and entity tick time. The optimized models should have minimal impact. Use server monitoring tools or commands like /timings report to track performance metrics before and after spawning crystal mobs.

Scaling Mob Spawns

Because these models are lightweight, you can safely spawn multiple crystal creatures without significant performance degradation. However, the Crystal Scorpion mini-boss, being more complex, should still be spawned sparingly to maintain optimal server health.

Resource Pack Considerations

Ensure all players have downloaded the accompanying resource pack for proper model rendering. Missing resource packs won't crash the server but may cause visual glitches. Distribute the pack through your server launcher or hosting panel.
