Farming Ghast Tears by Proximity

The Crying Ghasts Mod changes how you obtain ghast tears. Instead of killing ghasts, you simply need to be near them. When a player is within range, ghasts will occasionally cry and drop their tears, which you can then collect.

This makes tear farming sustainable and ideal for peaceful or resource-focused gameplay. You do not need to fight the ghast or risk its fireballs; proximity alone triggers the crying behavior.

Two config options control the mechanic. The first sets how close you must be for ghasts to start crying. The second sets the delay between tear drops. Both are fully tweakable through the config file, so you can adjust the range and frequency to suit your playstyle or balance needs.

Because the mod is minimalistic, it adds no new items or recipes. It only changes ghast behavior, making tears farmable without hunting mobs.
