Troubleshoot Crosshair Not Appearing or Looking Blurry

Common Crosshair Issues

If your crosshair isn't displaying correctly, several factors could be responsible.

Fixes to Try

1. Reload resource packs: Open Options → Resource Packs → click the reload icon (circular arrow)

2. Check file location: Verify the crosshair texture is in the correct path: assets/minecraft/textures/gui/

3. Verify file format: Ensure the crosshair file is saved as .png, not .jpg or other formats

4. Check transparency: If edited, make sure transparent areas are properly set (not filled with color)

5. Disable conflicting packs: If using multiple resource packs, disable others temporarily to identify conflicts

6. Clear cache: Delete the shaderpacks or resource pack cache folder and restart Minecraft

7. GUI scale settings: In Options → Video Settings, try adjusting GUI Scale—very high or very low settings can cause rendering issues

If Still Blurry

Ensure your image editor didn't apply compression or filters. Re-export at 100% quality with no anti-aliasing on the crosshair lines.
