Troubleshoot a Missing or Distorted Crosshair
Verifying Pack Activation
First, confirm that Crosshair TXF is actually enabled. Open Settings > Resource Packs and check that the pack appears in the "Active" section on the right side of the screen. If it's in the "Inactive" list, drag it to the active side.
Checking for Conflicts
If your crosshair is distorted or invisible, another active resource pack may be overriding it. Review your active packs list and identify any other packs that modify GUI or textures. Temporarily disable conflicting packs to isolate the issue.
Reloading Resources
Press F3 + T (or Ctrl + R on some systems) to reload all resource packs without restarting Minecraft. This often fixes display glitches.
Verifying File Integrity
If you've edited the crosshair texture, ensure the file is saved in the correct format and location: .minecraft/resourcepacks/Crosshair TXF/assets/minecraft/textures/gui/. Corrupted or incorrectly formatted image files will fail to load.
If problems persist, try re-downloading the original pack to restore default files.
