How the Crosshair Indicator Works

Reading Your Crosshair

The Crosshair Indicator Mod changes how your crosshair looks depending on whether you can currently hit another player's hitbox. When a player is within reach and their hitbox is a valid target, the crosshair switches to a distinct "hittable" appearance. When no player is in range, or the hitbox cannot be struck, it shows the "unhittable" state instead.

This works like the vanilla attack indicator, which signals when a fully charged attack is ready, but the mod moves that feedback onto the crosshair itself. The key difference is that it is not limited to fully charged attacks, so you get a clear signal about attack eligibility at any charge level.

Because the cue sits at the center of your screen, you do not need to glance at a separate indicator while aiming. Just watch the crosshair: its appearance tells you whether a swing would connect with a player.
