Customize Your Crosshair Color
Locate the Crosshair Texture File
Navigate to your resource pack folder and find the textures directory. The crosshair texture is typically stored in textures/gui/. Look for the file named crosshair.png or similar — this is the square crosshair image.
Edit the Crosshair Image
Open the crosshair PNG file in any image editor (Paint, Photoshop, GIMP, or online tools work fine). The image is small, usually 15×15 or 17×17 pixels.
Change the color by:
- Selecting the colored pixels of the square outline
- Filling them with your desired color
- Keeping the transparent background intact
- Saving the file in PNG format
Test Your Changes
Save the edited file and reload your resource pack in Minecraft. Open your world or join a server, then look at the center of your screen. Your new crosshair color should appear immediately. If it doesn't show, verify the file was saved correctly and restart the game.
Fine-Tune if Needed
If the color doesn't look right in-game, adjust it in your editor and save again. Minecraft reloads resource packs quickly, so you can test multiple colors without restarting.
