Why Infinity Changes Arrow Farming

With Infinity enchanted on your crossbow, arrows are never consumed when fired. This means you only need one arrow in your inventory to fire indefinitely, completely eliminating the need to farm or craft ammunition.

Setup for Infinite Firing

Equip your Infinity crossbow and keep just one arrow in your inventory. You can now fire as many times as you want without depleting that arrow. This works for all crossbow firing scenarios—combat, target practice, or mob farming.

Combining with Other Strategies

Pair Infinity with Mending to create a completely self-sustaining weapon. As you collect experience from mob kills or mining, your crossbow repairs itself automatically. You'll never need to visit an anvil or grindstone for repairs.

If you're using Multishot with Infinity, each shot fires multiple arrows but still only consumes the one arrow in your inventory. This makes area damage farming extremely efficient.

Storage Benefit

You free up inventory and storage space by not needing stacks of arrows. This is especially valuable during long mining trips or extended exploration where ammunition weight typically becomes a problem.
