Understanding CRLib as a Dependency Mod

What CRLib Does

CRLib Mod is a library mod—it doesn't add gameplay content on its own. Instead, it provides shared code and tools that other mods depend on to function. If you see CRLib listed as a required mod for something you want to play, you need it installed.

Why You Need It

Think of CRLib like a toolbox. Mods that use CRLib (such as Roost Mod) pull tools and helpers from it instead of building everything from scratch. This makes those mods smaller, faster to update, and less likely to conflict with each other.

Installation Check

To verify CRLib is working:

1. Launch Minecraft with CRLib installed

2. Open the Mods menu

3. Search for "CRLib" and confirm it shows as loaded

4. Check that any mods depending on CRLib also load without errors

If dependent mods fail to load, CRLib may not be installed or is the wrong version. Reinstall and restart the game.
