Loading Custom Models and Textures

How CRLib Loads Assets

CRLib functions as a built-in data pack, automatically loading custom block models, item textures, and other visual files. You don't need to manually install data packs for mods that use CRLib.

What Gets Loaded Automatically

  • Custom block models for new blocks
  • Item textures and appearances
  • Fluid visuals and behavior files
  • Special model variants for mod content

Verifying Assets Load Correctly

1. Launch your world with CRLib installed

2. Look for any mod-added blocks or items

3. Check that textures appear correctly and aren't purple/black (missing texture indicator)

4. Confirm custom models render as intended

If textures appear broken, try restarting Minecraft. CRLib loads assets on startup, so changes take effect after a full game restart.
