Set Up Entity Model Features for Correct Display

Why You Need a Model Loader

Creepers Refreshed uses custom 3D models and shapes for each variant. The vanilla Minecraft renderer cannot display these custom models—you need Entity Model Features or a similar mod loader to see the pack's full visual design.

Installation Requirements

1. Ensure Entity Model Features (or an equivalent custom model loader) is installed in your mods folder

2. Load Creepers Refreshed as a resource pack in your world settings

3. Restart your game or reload the resource pack

4. Spawn or find a Creeper—it should now display with custom shapes and textures

Troubleshooting

  • Creepers still look vanilla? Check that Entity Model Features is active and loaded before the resource pack
  • Textures missing or broken? Verify the resource pack folder structure is intact
  • Performance issues? Custom models use more resources—lower render distance or disable other heavy packs if needed
  • Variants not changing by biome? Confirm the model loader is recognizing the pack's JSON files

Without a proper model loader, you'll only see texture changes, not the unique shapes each variant provides.
