Establish a Train Network for Resource Transport
Plan Your Route
Decide where your resource outposts and main base are located. Trains work best on relatively flat terrain, though they can handle gentle slopes. Mark out a clear path between locations.
Lay Down Tracks
Place railway tracks in a continuous line from your starting point to your destination. Tracks must connect end-to-end without gaps. You can create curves and intersections by angling tracks at corners.
Build a Train Station
Construct a station at each end of your route using station blocks. Stations act as stops where trains load and unload cargo. Configure each station to accept or distribute specific items.
Assemble Your Train
Craft a locomotive and attach cargo cars to it. The locomotive provides power and direction; cargo cars hold items. You can customize how many cars you attach based on your transport needs.
Program Routes
Use the train control system to set which stations your train visits and in what order. You can create schedules so trains run automatically between multiple stops.
Monitor and Expand
Watch your train make its rounds. Once running smoothly, add more trains or extend tracks to new outposts to scale up resource distribution across your world.
