Set Up Your First Mineral Geyser Extraction

Finding and Preparing the Geyser

Explore your world until you locate a mineral geyser—these erupt naturally in Overworld and Nether biomes and are visually distinctive. Once found, clear the area around it to make room for your extraction setup.

Installing the Fracking Pylon

Place a Fracking Pylon directly over the geyser. This is your primary extraction machine. Connect it to:

1. Rotational power via a shaft or gearbox from your Create power source (water wheel, windmill, etc.)

2. Water supply through a fluid pipe—the pylon consumes water to extract molten ore

The pylon will begin pulling molten mineral fluid from the geyser underground. Attach output pipes to direct the hot liquid into tanks or directly into your next processing step.

Monitoring Output

Watch your fluid gauges to ensure water is flowing in and molten ore is flowing out. If extraction stalls, check that your power source is spinning fast enough and water isn't depleted. Early geysers produce basic metals like Crimsite, Veridium, Ochrum, and Scorchia—perfect starter materials for your refinery chain.
