Using Hangar Loot to Start Flying Machines
Identifying Key Components
The machine parts found in hangars—Andesite alloy, copper sheets, springs, and redstone magnets—are foundational for Create: Aeronautics contraptions. Cogwheels (both small and large) form the backbone of power transmission systems. Burners provide fuel-based power, while sails catch wind for propulsion.
Building Your First Machine
Start by organizing your loot. Separate machine parts from building blocks. Use cogwheels and shafts to create basic rotating mechanisms. Springs and Andesite alloy are typically needed for moving parts and structural integrity. Copper sheets often serve as decorative or functional plating.
Don't feel pressured to use everything immediately. Hangars give you a head start, but you'll still need to craft additional components and gather resources. The sails and burners are particularly valuable—they're the quickest path to getting your first flying machine airborne without extensive early-game grinding.
