Troubleshooting: Diamond Shards Still Appearing or Crafting

Verify the Data Pack Is Active

Open your world and use the command /datapack list. Look for the data pack name in the enabled list. If it's not there, the pack isn't loaded. Exit to the world menu and check your datapacks folder to confirm the file is present and properly formatted.

Check for Conflicting Packs

If multiple data packs modify recipes, they may conflict. Disable other recipe-altering packs temporarily to isolate the issue. Load your world and test whether diamond shards can still be crafted. If they can't, you've found a conflict—adjust pack load order or remove the conflicting pack.

Reload the Data Pack

Use /reload in-game to refresh all data packs without restarting. This forces the game to re-read the pack's rules. If shards were craftable before, they should now be blocked.

Check Your Crafting Method

Make sure you're not using an alternative recipe or a different crafting station. Some mods add multiple ways to create similar items. Verify you're attempting the specific recipe the data pack targets.
