How to Grow Cassava for Boba Production

Cassava is the agricultural backbone of Create Cafe's boba. Without a cassava farm you cannot make boba, and without boba you cannot make bubble tea. Setting up a reliable farm early pays off.

Planting and Harvesting

Obtain Cassava Seeds and plant them on farmland like any other crop. They grow into Cassava, which you harvest to get Cassava Root. The root is the item you actually process; the plant itself is just the source.

Cassava behaves like a standard crop, so it benefits from the usual farming conveniences: water nearby, light, and enough space. If you have Create contraptions for harvesting other crops, you can adapt the same approach here.

Scaling Up

A single plant will not keep a drink stand stocked. Plant a decent plot, and consider automating the harvest so roots flow into storage automatically. Route harvested Cassava Root directly toward your boba processing so you are not manually ferrying items.

Keep a buffer chest of Cassava Root near your processing machines. That way, if your farm stalls, you can still produce boba while you fix it, and your tea production never grinds to a halt waiting on starch.
