How to Build Decorative Bronze and Steel Structures (Pillars, Casings, Cut Blocks)
The Bronze Decorative Set
Bronze gives you a full palette: Bronze Pillars (plus Exposed, Weathered, and Oxidized Pillar variants), Bronze Casings, Bronze Sheets, Bronze Bells, and a Cut Bronze family with Slabs and Stairs in every oxidation stage. Use Pillars for vertical accents, Casings for machine housings, and Cut Bronze for floors and walls where you want a paneled look.
The Steel Decorative Set
Steel offers Steel Casings, Steel Bars, Steel Catwalk, Steel Catwalk Railing, Steel Catwalk Stairs, and Steel Doors. Steel is the industrial, non-oxidizing counterpart to bronze — use it where you want a clean, modern look that won't change color over time.
Mixing Encased Components
Both metals have Encased Cogwheel and Encased Large Cogwheel variants, plus Bronze Encased Shaft. These let you run kinetic components through an alloy build without an ugly exposed shaft. Place a Bronze or Steel Casing, then run your shaft or cogwheel through it so the mechanism appears to pass through the metal.
Design Tips
- Build a gradient: plain Bronze at the bottom, then Exposed, Weathered, and Oxidized going up, to fake age.
- Use Cut Bronze Slabs as trim lines between full blocks for depth.
- Bronze Bells are functional decoration — hang one over a doorway as a doorbell-style accent.
- Steel Catwalk Railings double as fences on flat roofs.
