Troubleshoot Recipe Not Working

Verify Your Materials

Confirm you're using gold *blocks*, not gold ingots or gold ore. Gold blocks are the crafted item made from 9 gold ingots. Check your inventory carefully—the textures can look similar at a glance.

Check Grid Placement

The apple must be in the exact center of the crafting grid (the middle square). All 8 surrounding squares must contain gold blocks with no empty spaces. Even one missing block will prevent the recipe from working.

Confirm Crafting Table

Use a standard crafting table. Some mods or servers may have restrictions, but this recipe should work on any crafting table in vanilla-compatible setups.

Test with Fresh Materials

If still stuck, craft a new gold block and apple from raw materials to rule out item corruption. Sometimes items from other mods can cause conflicts.

Mod Compatibility

Ensure the mod is properly installed and loaded. If using multiple mods, check that there are no conflicting recipes affecting gold blocks or apples.
