Use Your Trident Effectively in Combat

Melee Combat

Your trident functions as a strong melee weapon. Hold it in your main hand and attack mobs normally. It deals solid damage and has good reach, making it effective against most hostile mobs and useful in close-quarters PvP situations.

Ranged Combat

1. Hold the trident in your hand

2. Right-click to enter the charging animation

3. Hold until fully charged (similar to drawing a bow)

4. Release to throw the trident

5. With Loyalty enchanted, it automatically returns to you

Aquatic Advantages

The trident excels underwater and in water-heavy biomes. Use Impaling to deal extra damage to drowned, guardians, and other aquatic enemies. If you have Riptide, throwing the trident while standing in water propels you forward—useful for quick underwater travel or tactical repositioning.

Durability Management

Your trident has durability like any tool. Repair it at an anvil using another trident or appropriate materials to keep it combat-ready.
