Prepare for Boss Fights with Totems

Craft Multiple Totems in Advance

Before challenging any major boss, craft several Totems of Undying and store them safely. Having backups ensures you're protected even if one totem is used. Keep them in your inventory or nearby chests so you can quickly grab extras if needed during the fight.

Equip Your Totem Properly

Place one Totem of Undying in your off-hand slot before entering the boss arena. This ensures it will activate automatically when you take lethal damage. Double-check that your off-hand is equipped and not empty before the battle begins.

Use Totems Strategically

Remember that a totem saves you once, then disappears from your off-hand. After it activates, immediately swap in a fresh totem from your inventory. During intense boss fights, keep your inventory organized so you can quickly access replacement totems without fumbling through items. This preparation turns the totem into a reliable safety net for surviving otherwise fatal attacks.
