Prepare Gold Blocks for Mass Crafting
Mine and Smelt Gold Efficiently
If you plan to craft multiple enchanted golden apples, you'll need many gold blocks. Start by mining gold ore from deep underground—typically found below Y-level 32. Use an iron pickaxe or better to successfully harvest it.
Convert Ore to Blocks
Smelt your raw gold in a furnace to create gold ingots. Then, craft nine ingots together in a crafting table to make one gold block. This conversion is resource-intensive, so plan accordingly.
Organize Your Materials
Store your gold blocks in a chest near your crafting area for easy access. Keep apples separate and readily available. Consider using a double chest if you're preparing for multiple crafting sessions.
Calculate Your Needs
Each apple requires eight gold blocks plus one apple. If you want to craft ten apples, gather eighty gold blocks and ten apples. Mining in a strip-mining pattern or using branch mining techniques will speed up gold collection significantly.
