Keep Your Farm Mobs From Disappearing

Why Mobs Despawn

In Minecraft, most mobs naturally despawn when they're far from players or in certain conditions. This is especially problematic for farm animals you've gathered or bred. Nametags prevent this by marking mobs as "named," which locks them in place.

Apply Nametags to Your Farm Animals

Craft enough nametags for all the mobs you want to keep. Use an anvil to name each tag with a unique or descriptive name. Then right-click each farm animal with its nametag. Once named, those mobs will never despawn, no matter the distance or conditions.

Organize Your Farm

Consider naming mobs by their purpose or location—like "Breeder_1" or "Wool_Farm." This helps you track which animals serve which function and makes managing large farms easier. Since you can craft unlimited nametags with this mod, you can afford to name every single mob in your operation.
