Identify and Organize Mobs in Your Base
Name Mobs for Easy Recognition
When you have many mobs in one area—whether they're breeding pairs, utility mobs, or decorative animals—nametags help you tell them apart. Craft a nametag, use an anvil to name it something descriptive like "Breeder" or "Decoration," then apply it to the mob.
Create a Naming System
Develop a consistent naming convention for your base. For example, prefix breeding mobs with "B_," utility mobs with "U_," and decorative mobs with "D_." This system makes it instantly clear what each mob's purpose is when you're working in your base.
Track Your Mobs Visually
Named mobs display their names above their heads, making them stand out in crowds. This is especially useful in large animal pens, mob farms, or mixed-purpose areas. You can quickly scan the area and see exactly which mobs you have and what they're for, without needing external tracking systems or notes.
