Craft multiple name tags using this mod's recipe so you have plenty on hand. Since they're now craftable, you can make as many as needed without worrying about running out.

Apply Names to Mobs

Hold a name tag in your hand and right-click on any mob you want to name. The mob will receive the name you've set on the tag. This works for any entity—dogs, cats, horses, or even hostile mobs if you want to keep them contained.

Prevent Despawning

Named mobs have a crucial advantage: they won't despawn when you travel far away or reload your world. This makes name tags essential for keeping your pets safe and permanent.
