Use Fireworks to Boost Your Flight

Equipping Fireworks

To extend your elytra flight and gain altitude, you'll need fireworks rockets. Craft or obtain fireworks and keep them in your hotbar while flying. Standard fireworks work effectively for propulsion—the more gunpowder in the recipe, the stronger the boost.

Timing Your Boosts

While gliding with your elytra deployed, hold or use the fireworks rocket in your hand to trigger a burst. The rocket will propel you forward and upward, counteracting gravity and allowing sustained flight. Time your boosts carefully—using them too frequently will deplete your supply, while poor timing wastes their effect.

Extended Flight Techniques

For longer journeys, manage your fireworks supply by gliding downward between boosts to conserve rockets. Aim for high terrain or build platforms at altitude to reset your height without using fireworks. In multiplayer, coordinate with teammates to share fireworks or establish resupply points.
