Repair Your Elytra When Damaged

Understanding Elytra Durability

Your crafted elytra has limited durability and will gradually wear down with use. Each flight reduces its remaining lifespan, and once fully damaged, the elytra becomes unusable. Monitor your elytra's durability bar in your armor slot to know when repairs are needed.

Repairing at an Anvil

To restore your elytra, use an anvil with the appropriate repair material. Place your damaged elytra in the anvil's first slot and the repair material in the second slot. The anvil will combine them, restoring durability at a cost of experience levels. Repeat this process as needed until your elytra is fully repaired.

Preventing Premature Damage

Minimize unnecessary damage by avoiding collisions with terrain while flying. Plan your flight paths to reduce impact with blocks. Keep spare repair materials in your base or inventory for quick fixes during exploration. Consider crafting multiple elytras so you always have a backup while one is being repaired.

Proper maintenance ensures your wings remain flight-ready whenever adventure calls.
