Craft Your First Chainmail Helmet

Gather Iron Nuggets

Chainmail armor in this mod is crafted using iron nuggets as the primary material. You'll need to collect or create iron nuggets—these can be obtained by smelting iron tools, weapons, or armor in a furnace, or by crafting them from iron ingots (9 nuggets per ingot).

Use the Crafting Table

Open your crafting table and arrange iron nuggets in the helmet pattern: fill the top row completely, then place nuggets in the left and right slots of the middle row. This creates a chainmail helmet that provides the same protection as vanilla chainmail while being fully craftable.

Equip and Use

Drag your new chainmail helmet into your armor slot. Unlike vanilla chainmail, this version can be repaired on an anvil using iron nuggets, making it a practical choice for mid-game armor. The helmet provides moderate protection and is lighter than iron, making it useful when you need mobility without sacrificing too much defense.
