Using Death Chests

When you die, your items don't scatter into the void or lava—they're automatically protected in a nearby chest.

Step 1: Understand Death Chest Placement

Upon death, the mod spawns a protected chest at a safe location close to where you fell. This chest is locked to you alone, so teammates can't accidentally take your loot.

Step 2: Find Your Chest

Check nearby ground level or slightly elevated terrain. The chest appears in a protected area chosen by the server to avoid lava pools, cliffs, or water. If you're unsure of the exact location, ask an admin or check your chat for coordinates.

Step 3: Retrieve Your Items

Walk to the death chest and open it like any normal container. Take back your tools, resources, and equipment. Once empty, the chest disappears automatically.

Prevention Tips

Always carry a waypoint marker or remember landmarks near dangerous areas. If you're exploring the Nether or deep caves, tell a friend your location using /here so they can help retrieve items if needed.
