How to Install CoroUtil Mod Correctly (So Your Corosus Mods Actually Work)
CoroUtil is a library mod, not a content mod. That means it adds no blocks, items, or mobs of its own — it only provides shared code that other mods (mostly ones by the same author) depend on. If you install a mod that requires CoroUtil and skip CoroUtil itself, the game will usually crash on startup or the dependent mod will simply fail to load.
What You Need to Know Before Installing
- CoroUtil must match the Minecraft version of the mods that depend on it. A CoroUtil build for one major Minecraft version will not work with a dependent mod built for a different one.
- It must also match the mod loader you are using. If your other mods are Forge mods, use the Forge build; if they are Fabric/NeoForge builds, use the matching one. Mixing loaders will not work.
- CoroUtil is a client-and-server mod. On a multiplayer server it must be present on the server, and usually on the client too, or players will get connection or registry errors.
Installation Steps
1. Identify which of your installed mods lists CoroUtil as a dependency (check that mod's description or its file name).
2. Note the exact Minecraft version and loader that mod targets.
3. Place the matching CoroUtil file into your mods folder alongside the dependent mod.
4. Launch the game. If it starts without a missing-dependency crash, CoroUtil is loaded correctly.
If the game still complains about a missing dependency, the version or loader is mismatched — swap the CoroUtil file, not the dependent mod.
