Recycling Waxed and Oxidized Copper Blocks

Waxed Copper Works Too

One of the key features of Copper Recycling Mod is that waxed copper blocks can be smelted just like unwaxed ones. You don't need to remove the wax coating first — simply smelt the block as-is.

All Oxidation States Accepted

The mod supports recycling at every stage of copper oxidation:

  • Freshly placed copper blocks
  • Lightly weathered copper
  • Partially oxidized copper
  • Fully oxidized (blue-green) copper
  • Any of the above with wax applied

Smelting Steps

1. Collect your waxed or oxidized copper blocks

2. Place them in any furnace-type block

3. Add fuel and let them smelt

4. Retrieve your copper ingots

Practical Use

This is especially useful when you've changed your build design and need to recover resources from decorative copper blocks that have already oxidized or been waxed for color preservation.
